KEMET supports the “Share the Music Tour” each Fall. Approximately 90 Governor’s School music students and faculty travel to a different part of the state each year to perform in middle and high schools. The trip exposes children who are underserved in arts education to the possibility of immersion in a music program in 11th and 12th grades at the Governor’s School. The trip culminates with a free public concert. KEMET has also supported the “Life as a Solo Artist” program at the Governor’s School. This guest artist series featured four entertainers who presented the artistry and business experiences behind the creation of their solo career.
